At Shipping Container Homes Store, customer satisfaction is our
priority. This policy operates alongside your rights under the
Australian Consumer Law.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to:
• A replacement or refund for a major failure
• Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
• A repair or replacement if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality
and the failure does not amount to a major failure

These rights apply in addition to the policy below.

30-Day Change of Mind Returns
In addition to your ACL rights, we offer a 30-day change of mind
return window from the date of delivery, provided the container
meets the conditions below.

Conditions for Change of Mind Returns
To be eligible for a change of mind return, the container must be:
• In the same condition as delivered
• Free from modifications, paint changes, structural alterations,
or damage
• Returned with original delivery documentation

Non-Returnable Items (Change of Mind)
The following items cannot be returned for change of mind
(but ACL rights still apply for faulty goods):
• Custom-modified containers (cut openings, added windows, paint)
• Containers used for storage, transport, or any commercial purpose
after delivery
• Container pools that have been filled with water or installed
• Refrigerated containers that have been powered on and used

How to Initiate a Return
1. Email us at info@shippingcontainerhomes.store within 30 days
of delivery
2. Include your order number, reason for return, and photos
3. Our team will respond within 2 business days with return instructions

Return Shipping Costs
• If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defect, or failure
to meet ACL guarantees): we cover all return shipping costs
• If the return is due to change of mind: the buyer is responsible
for return shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee may apply

Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect the returned container, we will notify
you of the outcome within 5 business days.

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to
your original payment method, including any GST paid.

Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be granted for containers returned with:
• Minor wear beyond normal handling
• Missing components (such as door locks, seals)

Major Failure (ACL Right)
If your container has a major failure, you are entitled to:
• A refund or replacement (your choice)
• Compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss
A major failure includes containers that:
• Are significantly different from the description
• Are unsafe
• Cannot be used for the purpose stated
• Have problems that would have stopped you buying it

60-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If your container does not meet the specifications stated at the
time of purchase upon delivery, you are entitled to a full refund
or replacement within 60 days of delivery.

Damaged or Defective Containers
If your container arrives damaged or with defects:
1. Refuse delivery if damage is severe, or accept and note damage
on the delivery receipt
2. Contact us within 48 hours at info@shippingcontainerhomes.store
with photos
3. We will arrange repair, replacement, or full refund at no cost
to you under ACL

Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled free of charge before dispatch. Once
dispatched, standard return policy applies.
